Today I write from Owl Haven, a century old home in Gaithersburg, Maryland, where family and community life, old rooms, and inhabited gardens have become my favorite guides through the changing seasons. 

 

Here you’ll find poetry, essays, photographs, and the quiet work of coming home. Some pieces begin with a flower or an old tree, others with grief, a memory, or the day’s headlines. All are an attempt to understand what it means to live with curiosity, beauty and the awareness of our interconnectedness.

 

I don’t expect readers to share all my conclusions, I simply hope they leave having noticed something they might have missed.
